Commonplace book of Marvin M. Baldwin. 1842-ca. 1884.

A commonplace book on legal topics, started in 1842 by Marvin M. Baldwin while a student at the Dane Law School of Harvard University, and to which he added entries until at least 1884. Included are histories of various inns of court in London, outlines of courses, lists of law books and syllabi for legal studies, quotes and commentary of reknowned jurists, legal maxims, etc.
